The members of Korn are sending their thoughts and prayers to Shane Gibson's family, friends, and fans.
The Stork guitarist and former Korn touring member died at the age of 35 this week as a result of complications from a blood clotting disorder.
The band says in a statement that their dear friend will be greatly missed. Gibson temporarily replaced Korn guitarist Brian "Head" Welch from 2007 to 2010.
Welch says he never had the pleasure of meeting Shane, but he's honored that he was able to fill his spot while he was away from the band.
Korn's James "Munky" Shaffer added that he feels very fortunate to have known someone he calls an amazing guitar player and an amazing person.
